From Tim Mays Track Director and President Of St Pete Bmx I would like to thank all parents for attending last nights monthly meeting. We left there with a plan of attack to regain our track from all this rainy weather. I hope people will come out and attend this weeks work partys and help get track back into shape and ready to ride as soon as possiable.I will put a summary and information on this page as needed and after parent council meetings for those who cant attend.
Today Monday I was very DisHeartened again after hearing more of the posting on vintage aswell as emails to the Florida state association and nbl office about our track be down and out and not safe and no one has been trying to fix it. If the person who did this reads this email I just want you to know that Tim Mays or any board member can only be removed by our parent council. IT is waste of your time to email these other people they have no power to do anything at our local track. The people you emailed furthermore are aware of all the rain in florida this year as well and like myself think your a idiot. I hope this will make you step forward and Communicate with me personaly.
Now to the plan to help get st pete fixed from the rains. Tuesday we will open new tarps and get them ready while working our way around track. We will be getting more clay (but we have enough to get started) and tarps to cover whole track untill we can get it ready for Invirotech. We are going to give every person that works on track at work partys of 2 hrs or more a ticket which we will drawn at end of night for a prize. For now prizes may be gift cards, track bucks(20),profile Goodies, and any other donated items we can get. I appreciate all the input last night on plans to get St Pete Bmx moving forward. I hope many familys ,Riders will come help us get this stuff done. A quick note for new track Facility is that over next few weeks were going to try to get it were were moving forward aswell with construction.Our tentative goal weather permitting is fencing that track and starting to layout track and buildings by Mid October.Septemeber 20th at 10 am we will walk that facility and all are inviited to come out with us since that is the Sat before our next parent council meeting I am asking for all of us to get together for the better and future of St Pete Bmx and our schedule is posted below.
